Enterprise Solution Architect is a vital role on Strategic Opportunities team and will be responsible for conceptualizing, evaluating and recommending alternative IT/solution approaches for meeting the business requirements defined for the opportunity.

This individual will need to have a deep knowledge of Financial industry solutions and will guide the involved teams on methodologies, processes and best practices for a suitable solution architecture definition. This individual will also work as needed with the involved vendors, partners and other 3rd parties to assess their technologies, products and services.

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Solution Architect will be responsible for driving the solution architecture effort to ensure the definition of a cost-effective, scalable and robust solution to meet the goals of the strategic opportunity assigned to him/her. This individual will be required to:

ベ Partner with Corporate, Business Units, FET teams and 3rd parties/partners to lead and facilitate the definition of the IT solution that would match the needs of the business
ベ Work with business/functional/application teams to define, analyze, and document the functional, security and operational requirements for the business problem
ベ Identify and weigh multiple products & services to meet the functionality, technology and scalability needs of the defined business problem(s)
ベ Map those to the IT solutions 。V for short-term and long-term
ベ Assist involved teams in identifying the required interfaces and inter-dependencies in the end-to-end solution
ベ Identify key risks on the solution options, and work with involved teams for mitigation strategy and plans
ベ Present the recommendations with comprehensive cost-benefit analysis, and ensure an agreement of the Solution definition across all involved teams
ベ work in close collaboration with the Enterprise Technical Architect and Enterprise Process Engineer assigned to the opportunity, and 。・own' the solution definition
ベ Create solution architectures that are leverage-able for future re-use
ベ Work with the Opportunity Manager or directly with financial analysts to prepare and validate the cost model for the opportunity
ベ Define and maintain Checklist and Metrics for Solution Architecture Definition and Validation
ベ Understand the IT Governance process and standards in the company, and ensure that the suggested solutions are in compliance. On the other hand, influence the development of policies, standards and guidelines under IT Governance

Skills & experience requirements:

ベ Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in engineering, computer technology, and related disciplines is required. Master's degree is a plus.
ベ 12 years of experience in enterprise and system architectures, system engineering, and/or application design and development

ベ 2 years of project management experience
ベ Work experience in technology areas for Mainframe and Distributed platforms, networking, databases, HA/DR, security, PCI compliance, and other IT regulations is strongly preferred
ベ This individual should think outside of the box to identify or define elegant solutions to improve productivity and bring simplicity to the complex business process
ベ Deep understanding of financial industry solutions and market trends
ベ Subject-Matter-Expertise on Solution Definition process, methodologies and tools
ベ Fairly good knowledge of Fiserv applications & products or equivalent/competitive products in the financial industry, with an in-depth experience with some of these
ベ A fairly solid background of leading solution architecture definition across cross-functional teams
ベ Excellent communications, consulting, and client relationship skills. He/she must be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts, both to clients (internal or external) and to team members, and to negotiate change
ベ Ability to interface at various levels of Customer organization to present solution options and budget needs, and guide them to the recommended option based on industry best practices, ROI and TCO aspects
ベ Deep commitment and ability to be very responsive to customer's business needs, constraints, and tight timelines (e.g. for an RFP), while also managing their expectations for realistic cost and timeliness for solution architecture work
ベ Ability to balance between the ideal solution and the business/ customer needs 。V short-term and long-term
ベ A fairly good understanding of technical/infrastructure aspects and their relationship with functional and business aspects of a solution, especially for areas where the two cannot be separated for any meaningful discussion, e.g. PCI and other compliance issues, IT Security, DR/BCP strategies
ベ Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned project responsibilities under limited supervision
ベ Self-disciplined, self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes quickly
ベ Work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change.
